IMPROVEMENTS MADE
What a fun and rewarding project this Meigs County Project was! Spanning across 320 acres of carefully acquired parcels from multiple sellers over a two-year period, our dedicated efforts have resulted in the transformation of this property into a remarkable and thriving farm. Here are the key highlights of our improvement plan:
Renovated Cabin: We purchased and completely renovated a 4-bedroom, 2-bathroom house, encompassing 2,400 square feet, into a stunning cabin. Every detail was meticulously attended to, resulting in a beautiful and inviting living space.
Expanded Row Crops: For the first time in over 30 years, we added 30 acres of row crops, enhancing the farm's agricultural potential. This addition not only increased productivity but also contributed to the overall landscape diversity and food sources available to the deer herd.
Food Plots: We devoted 12 acres of land to meticulously established food plots. These strategically positioned plots attracted wildlife, providing optimal feeding areas for game and enhancing hunting opportunities.
Custom Hunting Blinds: To facilitate exceptional hunting experiences, we installed two carefully placed hunting blinds. These blinds were strategically placed to ensure effective concealment and comfort, catering to the needs of avid hunters.
Hunting Stand Locations: With a keen focus on optimizing hunting success, we created over 15 designated stand locations across the property. These stands were strategically positioned to accommodate various wind directions, maximizing the chances of a successful hunt and undetected intrusion.
Storage Pole Barn: To accommodate equipment and machinery, we built a spacious 36x48' metal pole building.
Impressive Harvests: Over our four-year ownership, we were proud to harvest bucks boasting impressive measurements. The recorded harvests included bucks measuring 171", 152", 137", and 132", showcasing the farm's remarkable hunting potential.
